Kota Kinabalu: Various initiatives need to be implemented in an effort to foster a culture of loving, reading and meditating on the Al-Quran.
The Chairman of Sabah Assemblymen’s Wives’ Charitable Trust Organisation (Mutiara-GRS) Datuk Juliah Salag said that in an increasingly challenging world situation, each individual needs to strengthen their understanding and appreciation of the Al-Quran to be used as a practice in life.
“For those who are not good at reading Al-Quran, try to find an ustaz or ustazah who can teach to recite even at the Muqaddam level.
“Hopefully, the Nuzul Al-Quran event today can remind us to make the Al-Quran as a guide in life,” he said when officiating the Istiqbal Nuzul Al-Quran and the Anjung Mutiara Program at Dewan Sa’adah Wisma Muis.
After the ceremony, Juliah visited the Dialysis Treatment Centre (Muis-NKF) accompanied by Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif here, on Thursday.
Also present were the Chairman of Sabah Islamic Religious Council (Muis), Datuk Seri Yahya Hussin, Deputy Chairman of Muis, Datuk Malai Ali Malai Ahmad, Chairman of Sabah State Baitulmal Corporation, Datuk Dr Omar Raisul As-Salam Syah Sulaiman Omar, Chairman of the Religious Bureau Mutiara-GRS, Datin Lenny Natasha Tan Seri Musa and Mutiasa-GRS Honorary Secretary, Datin Dayang Siti Noor Hayat Ag Mohd Saufi.
