LABUAN: Five strong contenders from Brunei are set to take part in the Coastal Ninja Warrior Challenge held in conjunction with the Labuan International Sea Challenge 2024 scheduled on April 27-28.
The five who have confirmed their participation are Md Hasnal Husna Ahmad, Gabrielle Chin Siew Li, Azizil Anwar Mosli, Low Leng May and Md Izzat Md Murad.
Hasnal and Azizil had represented Brunei at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia and also at the South East Asia 100M OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) Championships held in Kuala Lumpur last November together with Low and Izzat while Gabrielle will be making her debut in the international scene.
The two-day event organised by Labuan Corporation offers attractive cash prizes with the champions taking home RM2,000, runners-up will get RM1,500, third place – RM1,000, fourth – RM500, fifth –RM300, sixth – RM200, seventh to tenth – RM100 and 11th to 20th – RM50.
The entrance fee for the challenge is RM60 for Malaysians and RM100 for foreigners.
There will also be a free walk-in registration for a side competition open only for Labuan youth and the top 15 winners will receive RM100 each.
