KUALA PENYU: The Sabah Wildlife Department has been urged to catch monkeys roaming in several villages here as they are threatening security and socio-economy.
Resident, Henry Ongging, told the Daily Express it was time for the Department to act.
Among the affected villages are Kg Purun Pasir, Kg Tidong, Kg Batu 4, Kg Batung, Kg Mampungit, Kg Kiambor, Kg Palu-palu, Kg Menumpang, Kg Illanun and Kg Kitang, Kg Gitam Gitam, Kg Manggis, Kamansian Jalan Hospital and Kg Batung.
“Put traps and take these monkeys out of this area because the people don’t want to kill them… it is against the Wildlife Act.
