LABUAN: The three task forces set up to boost Labuan’s economy are a “merry-go-round” method to address the problems when the solutions are as clear as daylight.
An activist, Lau Seng Kiat, said this in reference to the Federal Territories Department’s establishment of the three task forces.

They were to focus on tourisim development, construction of the Labuan-Menumbok bridge and enhancing transhipment activities.
“The need for these task forces is questioned because it was not that Putra Jaya does not care about Labuan problems and remedies recommended, there had been sufficient dialogue on this between here and Putra Jaya and what needed to be done to restore Labuan’s past economic glory,” said Lau.
