PETALING JAYA: First City University College kicked off an exhilarating journey for students with the launch of three innovative competitions on 22 April 2024. These competitions offer participants the opportunity to showcase their creativity and skills while competing for coveted 100% scholarship awards.
The three competitions, namely, Poster Design Competition – Envisioning Tomorrow, Android Mobile App Challenge 2024, and Table Napkin Folding Video Challenge are open to all school leavers between the ages of 16 and 19.
The Poster Design Competition "Envisioning Tomorrow" invites participants to explore the future through their creative vision, offering a platform for imaginative expression and forward-thinking concepts.
The Android Mobile App Challenge 2024 aims to ignite enthusiasm among tech enthusiasts, encouraging innovation and the development of solutions for the ever-changing digital world of tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Table Napkin Folding Video Challenge seeks to showcase participants' craftsmanship in a visual display of elegance and artistry.
During the preliminary rounds, participation will be limited to online submissions or engagements. However, all three finals are set to take place as live events in the month of May at First City University College in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. For students traveling from outside the Klang Valley to attend the finals, complimentary accommodation will be provided at First City Residence, the exquisite on-campus student accommodation of First City University College.
The 100% scholarships are for programmes offered at the Faculty of Design & Built Environment, Faculty of Computer Science & Technology, and Faculty of Business, Hospitality & Communication and admissions are subject to students meeting the entry requirements of the respective academic programmes.
