Kota Kinabalu: The Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development will organise the Tekun Madani Carnival and One District One Industry (SDSI) Showcase in conjunction with the Kaamatan Festival celebrations on May 10 to 12 in Datuk Shahbandar Makang Community Hall, Kuala Penyu.

Its Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick said, alongside sales from entrepreneurs and cooperatives, government agencies, particularly those under Kuskop, will set up sales and service counters. 

“At this carnival too, we will launch Tamu Desa project this year.

“Kaamatan Festival celebrations such as Unduk Ngadau, Rombituon (Astro Photography) and traditional food will be held,” he said.

Ewon invites everyone to attend this carnival, enriching the celebration while also gaining insights into entrepreneurship development, particularly regarding funding, grants, training and international promotion.

“I hope through this initiative, the celebration will not only be a cultural event but also serve as a platform to cultivate and advance the entrepreneurship and cooperative movement of our country,” he said. 

Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Haji Noor will launch the carnival.
