PAPAR: Residents of Kg Sungai Padang are appealing to the government to promptly address the prolonged water supply disruptions that have plagued their village for an extended period.
A resident who preferred to remain anonymous, the lack of running water has forced villagers into a state of disarray, leaving them scrambling to secure water for essential daily needs such as cooking, drinking, bathing and laundry.
“We are deeply troubled by this situation, as we have to constantly purchase bottled water from shops to fulfil our basic requirements,” said the resident, expressing frustration over the uncertainty surrounding the restoration of water supply.
Another villager, Surijan Ismail, corroborated the severity of the crisis, saying that even opening the taps yields no results, with not even a trickle of air emerging from the pipes.
