KIULU: Some 400 out of the 663 residents in Kampung Rangalau Lama here are directly impacted by the lack of bridge connectivity in the area.
The hanging bridge, which used to be the main link between the villagers living on either side of the river, has been inaccessible for the past two years.
This situation has led to a notable increase in travel time for villagers, particularly affecting parents sending their children to school and pregnant mothers seeking medical care.
The villagers, especially those residing on the side opposite the village’s primary school, have seen their travel time to the school increased from a mere 20 minutes to an hour.
