KOTA BELUD: A phone call a rubber tapper in Kampung Lasau Minunsud, Kota Belud thought was from a suspected scammer turned out to be a real RM1 million gift.
Johni Satur, 57, was selected as the National Savings Bank (BSN) Premium Savings Certificate (SSP) millionaire for this year.
“I was initially surprised and sceptical when informed about the RM1 million prize via a phone call last week. I thought it was from a scammer trying to get me into parting with money.
“However, when I was further informed that the prize was due to saving money two years ago, I checked at the bank’s counter and found that I truly had won the SSP draw,” he said.
