Bersatu Sabah Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee said becoming an intervener in the judicial review proceeding is seen as preventing the people of Sabah from getting their rights according to the Federal Constitution.
“It is related to the rights that must be granted in the Federal Constitution. Just accepting a special grant agreement with the Federal Government does not match what the people of Sabah should receive,” he said in a statement.
Kiandee said a special grant agreement was made between the Sabah Government and the Federal Government starting in 2022 for an interim annual grant of RM125.6 million, with an increase over a period of five years (from 2022 to 2026).
