Masidi also said 2024 presents a critical opportunity as Sabah and Petronas have jointly agreed to set the following targets namely, to award 30pc of local spend to qualified Sabahan companies, and to achieve an 80pc Sabahan employment rate within the OGSE industry.
Kota Kinabalu: State Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun was happy that more than half of the contracts from Petronas last year were awarded to Sabah companies operating outside Sabah.
“This means there are Sabah companies that can compete outside of Sabah.
“But as I emphasised we want to focus more on opportunities for Sabah companies to get contracts offered in Sabah.
