Kota Kinabalu: The Madani Community is encouraged to utilise the PriceCatcher and Speedtest applications to obtain information on the prices of goods and Internet speed.
Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the PriceCatcher application helps users obtain information on essential goods at affordable and reasonable prices.
“Through my meetings with the chairpersons of the Madani Community around Kota Kinabalu, I urge them and community members to download the PriceCatcher application under the supervision of the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN).
“PriceCatcher can help people understand and enable them to compare prices among various shops selling reasonably priced goods,” he said at the “Sembang Santai Bersama Komuniti” Programme, here, Friday.
Fahmi also urged the Madani Community to use the Speedtest application to screen Internet speeds in their respective areas and convey accurate information about government policies to the public.
“Any problem information will be channelled directly to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for action if the internet speed is unsatisfactory or if there are other issues related to internet access,” he added.
In addition, he suggested that the chairpersons of each Madani Community convey information to the community in their respective villages in an appropriate, straightforward manner that facilitates two-way communication.
“We know that some Madani Communities oversee up to five villages, and sometimes, each piece of information is difficult to reach due to various factors.
“But with the appointment of a chairperson for each community, we will ensure that they not only lead but also act as translators of local dialects for their communities.
