PETALING JAYA: DAP MP Teresa Kok has received a death threat in a letter sent to her house along with two bullets.
In a Facebook post, the Seputeh MP said she found the letter and bullets inside her mailbox yesterday night, and lodged a report with the police.
“I was checking my mailbox at my residence last night and I found an envelope with something heavy in it.
“When I opened it, I saw two bullets and a piece of paper. Written on it were the words ‘C*b*ilu Cina?!!! Lu Akan Mati!!! TUNGGU!!!’,” she said.
Kok said the police have inspected the mailbox.
“I’m grateful for the swift action from the police,” she said.
FMT has reached out to the Kuala Lumpur police for comment.
Speaking to the media at an event in Kuala Lumpur, communications minister Fahmi Fadzil condemned the incident, saying that such things should not happen to any MP, whether they are in the government or opposition.
“The MPs are the voice of the rakyat. This is extremely shameful,” he said. – FMT
