House, Kancil, motorcycle razed in Beaufort fire

BEAUFORT: A house, a Perodua Kancil and a Yamaha motorcycle were destroyed in a fire at 12.53pm Kampung Luagan, here, on Thursday.
Beaufort Fire and Rescue Station Chief Muhammad Hasbullah Nenggok said firefighters rushed to the scene on a fire engine, ambulance and four-wheel drive.

Upon their arrival, the fire had spread and destroyed the car and motorcycle.
“Firefighters used water sourced from the fire engine and an open water supply from the nearby river using floating pumps to extinguish the fire,” he said.
Muhammad Hasbullah said the cause of fire and damage are still being investigated.
