Tenom: Member of Parliament Riduan Rubin urged residents to forge unity which is important to maintain harmony and well-being among them.
He said unity and diversity of society is Malaysia’s strength, especially in Sabah for the sake of prosperity, well-being and peace.

Therefore, he hoped the existing unity among the villagers here must be inherited by future generations.
“Hopefully, it doesn’t just end here but will be continued by the new generation,” he said when officiating the joint Kaamatan Festival celebration of Kg Panghlialat, Kg Ulu Tepoh and Kg Pamilaan together with four Neighbourhood Watch areas, on Saturday.
The Kaamatan Festival was also attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Sabah State Cultural Board, Stanis Buandi, Head of StarSabah Melalap Alviana Linus and village community leaders.
Riduan hoped other villages would also celebrate their village level Kaamatan in the future.
