Kota Kinabalu: The ‘Mentor Mentee’ programme introduced by Sabah FC II is the right tool to highlight the talent and potential of the youth in this State.
Former Youth and Sports Minister Tan Sri Liew Yun Fah said this after he was appointed as the programme’s mentor.
He fully supported the idea aimed to benefit the youth in the State.
“To ensure we can achieve the Sabah Maju Jaya slogan fully, we need to produce a group of youth that can help us move forward.
“I believe this programme is able to unearth their potential and turn them into youth with the right vision and purpose in the future,” he said.
Meanwhile Liew, who is also Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah (PHRS) president and chairman of Desa – one of the government-linked companies (GLC) that runs agro-food and dairy business, said his side will support every Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to help people in need.
He also suggested the government encourage foreign investors to implement CSR programmes in the State.
