Seek humane way to solve strays woe
Malaysian government should look into emulating Turkey that has great empathy towards stray animals, which in turn made it a very attractive country to visit. (Pic: Bawss via NST)
IN the Daily Express, on June 6, 2024, there was another complaint from a disgruntled reader about a pack of dogs which DBKK (Kota Kinabalu City Hall) was called on to capture. What does DBKK do with these dogs?

These poor dogs are dumped somewhere, anywhere and as far away as possible. These dogs are left to fend for themselves. How cruel and heartless is the government. Is this their only solution? Dump? Creating another colony of strays and the worse is these dogs are not sterilised so they will mate and more dogs/pups will be born.

Can the government not allocate some acreage as a shelter for these captured dogs instead of just dumping?
