Kota Kinabalu: When Jack Arrey Jaim scaled Mount Kinabalu recently, he realised while his way to the peak that he had left his Sigah at the Laban Rata stopover.

The second runner-up in the State-level Buvazoi Tavantang 2024, decided no way he would proceed without the traditional headgear and raced back one kilometre to get it.

“We began our summit climb at 3am and I noticed I left my Sigar at 4am.  I told my family to continue their climb as I wanted to go back and get the Sigah. My sister initially stopped me because we were far away from Laban Rata.
