PENAMPANG: Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Minister, Datuk Ewon Benedick, donated RM30,000 to the Youth Entrepreneurs Budding Alumni Association (Tube) Sabah (Pantas).
He said it was a contribution from the Minister’s special allocation in support of Tube’s entrepreneur education and empowerment programmes, especially in Sabah, as well as to help reduce the annual administrative costs of Pantas.
“At the Sabah Tube Programme Alumni Meeting on Nov 11 last year, I stated that I would provide annual administrative grants for the association.
“This is a sign of my support and encouragement for this association to continue implementing guidance and training programmes for Tube entrepreneurs or future Sabah entrepreneurs, so they can continue to succeed and set examples for new entrepreneurs,” he said, after receiving a visit from Pantas and delivering the contribution at the Tekun Penampang Office, here, recently.
Meanwhile, Pantas President, Azizul Julirin, thanked Ewon for his generosity and concern.
“I was very moved to receive the contribution from Datuk Ewon because, since this association was created in 2017, we have never received any contribution or allocation from any organisation to implement the programmes.

“This is the first time we have received such contribution. We will make the best use of this allocation for the benefit of all members of the association, as well as future entrepreneurs in Sabah. We implement various programmes including Tube entrepreneur guidance and certification.
“I am confident that this contribution will also help reduce the association’s management costs, including logistics costs, as our members are spread all over Sabah,” he said.
Azizul added that the contribution from the Kuskop Minister was also a sign of recognition for the association.
