KOTA KINABALU: The City Hall urges all development companies to comply with the conditions of development approval as provided under the Building By-Laws 1951 and the Local Government Ordinance 1961.
Based on recent City Hall monitoring, several development companies have ignored warnings and conditions set by the City Hall, repeatedly causing public complaints and disturbing the peace of affected residents.
Acting on repeated complaints regarding a development company conducting concreting works beyond the permitted working hours in Luyang, the City Hall has inspected and issued a compound on the developer, in addition to issuing a warning letter to the project consultant and developer for compliance with the permitted working hours.
A total of 16 compounds have been issued to the developer for violations of the stipulated development plan approval conditions.
Coordination efforts between the City Hall, the developer, consultants, and complainants have previously been conducted, resulting in an agreement that permitted working hours are from Monday to Saturday (excluding Sundays and public holidays), from 7:30am to 6pm only.
