TAWAU: A foreigner was arrested after he went amok in Kg Titingan, on Monday.

Tawau District Police Chief, ACP Jasmin Hussin, said upon receiving the report, a team of policemen rushed to the scene.

He said the man, in his 40s, kept a folding knife in his pocket pants.

During investigation, the suspect acted aggressively and refused to cooperate, forcing police to take appropriate action, Jasmin said.

He said the case was investigated under Section 6(1) of the Corrosive Explosives and Dangerous Weapons Act 1958 and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
