Tabs to assemble their best teams for Borneo Cup challenge

Kota Kinabalu: Tabs are set to prepare teams to compete in the Borneo Cup tournament scheduled in September this year.

Its vice chairman S.A. Ramlye said the selection of players will only take place after the end of the Suparimau League currently held every weekends.

“We will prepare our teams to compete in all six categories and the selection of players will be done by coaches that are registered with us.

“Since the Borneo Cup competition will involve teams from abroad, we will try to assemble the best teams as we want to maintain our good performance achieved over the years.

He added that they are planning to organise a football carnival for the Under-8, 10, 12 age groups either after the end of Suparimau or Borneo Cup competitions.

He said it is important to provide the trainees a platform to gain exposure apart from mere training every weekend under their development programme.
