He robbed the outlet’s worker of RM470, by using a knife at 3.15am on April 13 at the outlet in Kingfisher, here.
Freymicky committed the offence together with another accused who was not brought to court on Wednesday.
The offence under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to 20 years, and whipping, on conviction.
The court ordered Freymicky to serve the jail sentence from the date of his arrest.

During mitigation, Freymicky asked for leniency saying that he was remorseful and had admitted to the charge against him. He also informed the court that he has another case for drugs.
However, Deputy Public Prosecutor Suriyati Jumain urged the court to impose a deterrent sentence on the grounds that it was a serious offence as Freymicky had used a weapon while committing the offence.

The court heard that the incident occured while the victim was working at the outlet when two unknown men came and one of them, later identified as Freymicky, pointed a knife towards him.
Freymicky and his co-accused then took cash before fleeing the scene.
Following a police report, they were arrested.
