Kota Kinabalu: Two men who impersonated as policemen to extort a 19-year-old will go trial on March 26-27 next year.
Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus set the date for Mohd Shafiq Shazreen John, 27, and Asher Abdul Kadir, 47, who changed their plea and pleaded not guilty.

They changed their plea when their case was brought up for facts and sentencing.
The duo are accused of causing fear to Muhammad Hally Redzuan by claiming they were policemen and caused the latter to give them his wallet containing his MyKad, ATM card and handphone.
The offence allegedly took place at 6pm on April 12 at the 13th floor of an old building in Jalan Bukit Bendera, here.
The charge under Section 384/34 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to 10 years or fine or whipping or with any two of such punishments, on conviction.

The prosecution had served all documents to both of them.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Siti Hajar Mazlan appeared for the prosecution while the duo were not represented.
