Kota Kinabalu: The Persatuan Kababayan Sabah (PKS) urged the State Government to assist the Malaysian Filipino community.

Newly-installed Chairman for the 2024-2025 term, Ambrose Obon, hopes the Government would provide scholarships and loans to the needy and bright students of the Filipino community here.

“We are also appealing to the State Government to allocate a piece of land to PKS in either Keningau or Lahad Datu to assist the community in venturing into the agriculture sector,” he said during the installation of office bearers, which was held in conjunction with PKS’ 9th anniversary at the Putera Ballroom, recently.

Additionally, PKS also requested government assistance to help the community in carrying out their youth development programme.
