RM35m facelift for Prince Philip Park

Kota Kinabalu: Monuments of Sabah’s history from its independence, the Keningau Oath Stone to a GAF Nomad replica will be among attractions at the soon-to-be upgraded Prince Phillip Park in Tanjung Aru.

Tanjung Aru Eco Development (TAED) expects the project, estimated to cost RM35 million, to begin in October. Its Chairman Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia said it is for the sake of our future generations’ knowledge on the State’s history.

“Because many say if the Double Six crash didn’t happen, Sabah’s political scenario would be very different. Half of our Cabinet was wiped out on that fateful day.
