Kota Kinabalu: Qhazanah Technology Sdn Bhd (QTSB) in collaboration with the State Local Government and Housing Ministry (KKTP) launched the QTECH Online System here
Tuesday to simplify the application process related to telecommunications infrastructure in Sabah.
The launch was another important step in realising the aspirations of Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) and Sabah’s digital transformation.
It was officiated by Deputy Chief Minister II cum Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, who represented Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
Also present were KKTP Permanent Secretary Datuk Dr Jamili Nais, QTSB Chairman Datuk Awang Ahmad Sah Awang Sahari, KKTP Deputy Permanent Secretary Stanley Chong, QTSB Deputy Chairman Datuk Maznah Abdul Ghani, Qhazanah Sabah Berhad Deputy Chief Executive Officer Rudy Jaglul and QTSB Chief Executive Officer Mikail Sungiau Abdullah.
Ahmad Sah, in his welcoming speech, thanked KKTP for its solid support for QTSB.
Expressing his pride for the hard work of all QTSB staff in realising the launch of the system, he hoped that all agencies, telecommunication companies and Local Authorities (PBT) would take full advantage of the initiative to optimise their delivery and services for the benefit of the people and the economy of Sabah.
The online system is in line with the Technology and Innovation-Based Digital Government initiative under the Hala Tuju SMJ.
With this system in place, the application, inquiry and approval process related to telecommunications infrastructure will be carried out digitally, increasing operational efficiency and speeding up the service delivery process.
The programme was held for two days until June 26 involving various agencies such as PBT and telecommunication companies.
On the first day, after the launch, a workshop session was also held in the afternoon to give exposure to PBT representatives on how to use the online system.
The second day continued with a workshop session with telecommunication companies.
