Kota Kinabalu: The granddaughter of a victim of the Double Six plane crash tragedy, the late Datuk Peter Mojuntin, today submitted an open letter to the Prime Minister requesting a book about him (Mojuntin) to be unbanned, it has been reported.
Atalia Mae Albert Jaua wrote that the book “Peter J Mojuntin: The Golden Son Of The Kadazan“ was a biography by Bernard Sta Maria first published in 1978 with the aim of telling about Mojuntin’s journey in fighting for the independence of Sabah, then North Borneo, and defending the rights of its people.

"This book was first banned in the same year it was published under the Internal Security (Restraint on Publication) Order, Internal Security Act 1960 (ISA).
"However, the ban on this book has not been lifted even though the ISA has been repealed and now the ban is under Section 32(2)(a) of the Security Offenses (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma)."
