Labuan Dive Club Secretary Tan Zhi Shan said 22 divers, including those from Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Labuan, Singapore and as far as France, will converge to explore the underwater marvels of Labuan.

He said the festival features diving expeditions to the renowned “Big Four” wrecks (shipwreck dive sites) and vibrant reefs surrounding Rusukan Besar Island, offering participants an unparalleled diving experience.

When it comes to skincare, the first thought on our minds would be beauty products such as serums, creams, and masks. However, beauty experts and even researchers have stated that drinking more water can be just as crucial for your skin's health.
“In addition to diving activities, the festival will honour members, who have logged significant dive hours, with a special ceremony to present certificates to those with over 50, 100, 150, and 200 dives, recognising their dedication and commitment to the sport.

He said the Labuan Diving Festival 2024, supported by Tourism Malaysia and various local organisations, reflects the collaborative spirit of the diving community and underscores the importance of marine conservation.

“We are thrilled to welcome divers from Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Labuan, Singapore and France.

“This festival is not just a celebration of diving; it is an exciting opportunity to promote marine conservation and reveal the hidden treasures of Labuan’s underwater world,” he told Bernama in Rusukan Besar Island Friday.

Tan said following the economic downturn in 2016, followed with the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, many dive operators were forced to close their doors.

“This festival aims to revitalise the scuba diving industry and ignite a passion for niche tourism in Labuan,” he also said.

“Join us in celebrating the wonders of the ocean as well as the camaraderie of the diving community at the Labuan Diving Festival 2024.”

Conservationist and former Malaysia Tourism Ambassador for Diving, Clement Lee will also participate in this event.
