Tenom: Ten primary schools in the Tenom district are slated to become pilot projects for teaching the Murut Timugon language.
Persatuan Etnik Murut Timugon Sabah President Junik Bajit said this is among steps to elevate the mother tongue of the Murut Timugon ethnic group for the new generation.

He said he was made to understand that next year, about 10 primary schools in Melalap will become pilot projects, with the majority of students being Murut Timugon.
“We also have teachers who were trained at the Teacher Training Institute by the Ministry and have a strong foundation for teaching in schools.
