Two foreigners held for having drugs, air rifles

LAHAD DATU: The Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) arrested two Indonesian men for possessing drugs and homemade weapons during a raid at a farm in Jalan Jeroco, here, on Monday
Esscom Commander Datuk Victor Sanjos said the special forces also found 87.53gm of methamphetamine (worth RM24,500), three homemade air rifles, 50 marbles used as bullets, 10 knives, four parangs and three axes.
ADVERTISEMENT He said the two suspects were handed over to the Kinabatangan district police for further investigations under Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act (ADB) 1952.
“It is believed that the suspects used the farm to distribute drugs.
“The quick action of the Esscom Special Team through the cooperation and assistance of the auxiliary police at the farm reflected Esscom’s commitment towards reducing cross-border crimes,” he said.
He urged the public to report suspicious information to the Esscom Operations Centre at 089-863181 or through the WhatsApp application at 011-63311072 to ensure security in the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Esszone).
