Umno aims to wrest back Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: Lahad Datu Umno Division is confident of recapturing four State seats in the parliamentary constituency.
Umno Supreme Council member, Datuk Mohd Razlan Rafii, said with a membership of over 50,000 people, Lahad Datu Umno Division is seen as capable of achieving victory in the upcoming State Election.

“I am here to officiate the Lahad Datu Umno Division delegates meeting, which was attended by 1,500 delegates from this area.
“Looking at the attendance of delegates today, Lahad Datu Umno Division still possesses strong unity,” he said.
He made these remarks when after officiating the Lahad Datu Umno Division delegates meeting at Dewan Sri Perdana.
Mohd Razlan also expressed his confidence that Lahad Datu Umno Division is capable of gaining power and seizing all four State seats, of which three are currently held by Parti Warisan and one by Gabungan Rakyat Sabah.

Earlier in his speech, Mohd Razlan requested the delegates to convey and provide explanations regarding the party’s work and current issues at the grassroots level.
He added that this effort is to empower the machinery at the grassroots level and ensure Umno’s victory in the upcoming state election.

Meanwhile, Lahad Datu Umno Division Chief, Sharif Musa Sharif Mabul, in his speech, pledged to ensure that Lahad Datu Umno Division recapture the State seats in Lahad Datu.
Therefore, he asked all members to strengthen unity and prioritise the party’s interests to ensure Umno remains strong.
He said Sabah Umno was almost buried after the 2018 General Election, but the efforts and sacrifices of steadfast leaders managed to save the party.
“Never betray the party, be like the steadfast leaders who witnessed the birth of this party with feelings of love, sacrifice and loyalty,” he added.
