KOTA KINABALU: Business owners, visionary entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders from across Malaysia are set to converge at one of Sabah’s most anticipated leadership events: CEO Masterclass (CEOM) 2025, happening on the 9th and 10th of July 2025 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC). .
He also emphasised the need for education for a better future to help parents.

“Most of the students here are students from the B40 group living in the interiors who have restricted access to learning at home. But today, they have proven their abilities in achieving outstanding success,” he said.

Many students failed to sit for their SPM exam because their family are stuck in extreme poverty, he said.

“This problem needs to be shared between parents and the school. For example, students from the interior only rely on train to go to school and there is a possibility that the train may break down.

“But for those less fortunate, do not give up hope because there are plenty of opportunities like joining Vocational College or Giat Mara.

“It is not necessary to be a doctor or an engineer to be successful or rich. They can also be cooks, mechanics and others who provide good income as long as they are diligently in their course and training,” he said.

Some 30 students received awards with Cliearra Gustian receiving the top student award.

Isnin presented Special Awards to 13 outstanding students (6A and above).

The ceremony this year also recognized teachers as well as SM St John “citizens” for their services and contributions including individuals, government agencies, security personnel and non-teaching staff.

Present were SM St John Principal Albert Lai Chin, Beaufort Education Office Ghani Kambar, Chairman of the School Governing Board

Datuk Kimjos Duin, Parent Teachers Association Chairman Banyamin Atin, Police School Liaison Officer representing OCPD ASP Jopius Alok and Sm St John Alumni Chairman Badri Ahmad.
