Kota Kinabalu: The flood disaster that hit Penampang on June 30 has affected many areas including Kg Tunoh, Hungab, Koidupan, Pekan Donggongon, Taman Sahabat and villages in Kapayan with many affected areas still in the process of cleaning up, said Kapayan assemblywoman Jannie Lasimbang.

"I myself have visited and saw the conditions of houses in the affected areas and in Donggongon where many items, important documents and cars cannot be saved,” she said in a statement.

"I have also channeled disaster funds to the District Office amounting to RM20,000, contributed another RM50,000 for the preparation of food at the Disaster Kitchen and for food baskets to Moyog and Kapayan areas.”
