Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah China Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) suggests the Sabah Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) capitalise on durian in view of its high demand in overseas markets.
SCCC Datuk Frankie Liew said due to the “king of fruits” high economic benefits and exportability, Fama Sabah could produce local durian pastes and the “Musang King” variety to supply ice cream or biscuit processing factories worldwide.
“Durian products produced by frozen durian processing factories have long been exported to overseas markets, thus earning foreign exchange for the country for a long time.
