BEAUFORT: The Malaysian Nutrition Month (MNM) is one of the activities inspired by the collaboration of the Malaysian Nutrition Association, the Malaysian Dietetic Association and the Malaysian Obesity Research Association, said Sabah State Health Director Datuk Dr Asits Sanna.
It is also joined by private bodies, NGOs and higher education institutions to provide awareness to the Malaysian community about the importance of maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle to reduce the prevalence of non-communicable diseases among Malaysians.
The Nutrition Month celebration is held every year with a different theme to target different age groups and genders, Dr Asits said when officiating the 2024 Sabah Nutrition Month celebration at Dewan Pak Musa, here, on Saturday.
