Kota Kinabalu: The Federal Government cannot consider constructing the Pantai Manis Sports Complex as the proposed site is unsuitable and lacks sufficient size, said State Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Ellron Angin.

He said the project to build a mini stadium in Pantai Manis had been requested under the Federal Youth and Sports Ministry's 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP).

“The construction of a sports complex is subject to regulations by the Economic Planning Unit (EPU), which require that any application to build new sports facilities must be on land owned by the Federal Land Office (PTP) or land that has been gazetted to PTP,” he said at the State Legislative Assembly on Wednesday.
