James officiating at the event while other officials look on.
PAITAN: Instilling harmony, peace and tolerance in children through family institutions is important for their personalities when they become adults, said Community Development and People’s Well-Being Minister Datuk James Ratib.

“Since childhood, children should be moulded with good and correct perception so that they have immunity against bad elements.

“Parents should be role models for children, for example, through relationships with neighbours and the local community regardless of race, religion or culture,” he said.

Parents also need to encourage their children to participate in activities that can strengthen friendships and unity such as the Unity Week programme.

KOTA KINABALU: Business owners, visionary entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders from across Malaysia are set to converge at one of Sabah’s most anticipated leadership events: CEO Masterclass (CEOM) 2025, happening on the 9th and 10th of July 2025 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC). .
James, who is also Sugut Assemblyman, said this when officiating Unity Week 2024 at the Paitan Sub-District, recently.

He thanked the Department of National Unity and National Integration (JPNIN) of Sabah for bringing the 2024 Unity Week Celebration programme to Paitan subdistrict.

“Indeed the selection of Paitan is a great honour as it will become a full district soon.

“I believe when Paitan becomes a full district, more big programmes will be held in the district, which at the same time will provide many benefits to the people of Paitan, especially in economic opportunities,” he said.

The carnival was enlivened by the presence of unity ambassadors consisting of Unduk Ngadau Negeri Sabah and local artistes, among others.
