TUARAN: SMK Lok Yuk Kota Kinabalu and SK Sembulan emerged champions of the Seni Warisan Juara Limbai 2024 competition at the Rumpun Bajau Sama Cultural Centre in Kampung Lok Batik, here, Saturday. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor presented the prizes to the winners during the event, which was recorded live by RTM. SMK Lok Yuk and SK Sembulan each bagged RM7,000 cash, a trophy, and a certificate for winning in the secondary and primary school categories. The Chief Minister also presented the prizes to the best male and female dancers in both categories. The State Government and RTM Sabah jointly organised the second edition of the Seni Warisan Juara Limbai competition, with support from strategic partners Sabah Education Department, Sabah Cultural Board, Rumpun Bajau Sama Sabah Association, and AJ Productions. According to Sabah Broadcast Director Salmah Hashim, the live recording will be aired on TV2 at 9 p.m. on July 20.
