TAWAU: The agriculture sector is the third largest in Sabah contributing 15.2 per cent to the State’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), making the sector very important to the State, said Department of Statistics (DOSM) Sabah Director Muhammad Amri Idris.

According to him, 505,000 out of 1.8 million employed in the State work in the agricultural sector which is almost one third, at the same time showing that the sector is very important.
