Kota Kinabalu: Micro entrepreneurs in Sabah were urged to take the opportunity to apply technology in their respective businesses.
Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif said the adaptation of technology will give advantages in daily management, open opportunities to explore new markets, expand customer networks and increase business competitiveness.

“As we all know, the role of technology in driving business growth cannot be underestimated.
“It is no longer just a must but a critical requirement to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of our business,” he said when officiating the Klik-Klik Senang Aakun Programme and the Digital Market Penetration Programme, here, Tuesday.
The Klik-Klik Senang Aakun programme is one of the initiatives under the Micro Connector Programme for the year 2024 that focuses on efficient financial management and digitising the accounting process.
Dr Mohd Arifin also stressed that the Government always strives and collaborates with various parties to provide support to micro enterprises to improve business capabilities through competitive skills and technical support.

“Training programmes, financial assistance and digitisation are among the initiatives provided to ensure that every micro enterprise takes steps towards greater digital transformation.
"I believe that through collaboration with various parties such as today’s programme will be able to help micro enterprises build a dynamic and competitive business ecosystem, especially in Sabah.

“Let’s continue to drive innovation, dare to change and be a leader in the industry we’re in,” he said.
The programme implemented in Sabah this time also received support from the Persatuan Usahawan Digital IKS Daerah Tuaran (Perdiks) and was attended by 80 entrepreneurs among micro enterprises.
Also present were SME Corp Malaysia Chairman Tan Sri Bernard Dompok and Tuaran Perdiks Chairman cum Koperasi Persatuan Usahawan Digital IKS Sabah Berhad Chairman Azlee Okee.
