Kota Kinabalu: A national umpire course with national accreditation and certification will be presented by Datuk Anthony C. Linggian at the Sandakan Sports Complex’s conference room from July 27-28.

The two-day course organised by Kinabatangan BA (Badminton Association) caters for school teachers, coaches, players and those  interested to take badminton umpiring as career is also open to  Beluran BA  ,Sandakan BA, Tongod BA  and Kinabatangan.

Kinabatangan BA president Sudirman Abas thanked Sabah Badminton Association (SBA) for their support by sending former Badminton World Federation (BWF) referee Anthony to conduct the course and to share his 40 years of experience.

He said Kinabatangan Badminton Association is committed to organise more technical courses and local tournaments in the district.

Meanwhile, Anthony was recently appointed as Referee Assessor during Badminton Asia Juniors Championships in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
