KUNAK: The Pala’u community in Kunak Tiga’s waters has begun voluntarily dismantling their illegally-built stilt houses following a notice of impending squatter demolition.
This settlement, the largest in the area, comprises over 200 such houses.
Kunak Tiga Village Chief Panglima Abdul Lahil Sarail told Daily Express, “Some are now living on modified boats. The question remains: where will they go?”
Abdul Lahil has met with community representatives and relevant agencies, including security forces.
