Tenom: Kementerian Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi (KSTI) Sabah memandang serius mengenai pelbagai isu dan cabaran Pendidikan Sains, Teknologi, Kejuruteraan Dan Matematik (STEM) yang perlu diteliti.
Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap KSTI, Syahrin Samsir berkata, ini termasuklah kemerosotan minat dan kualiti pelajar dalam bidang ini berbanding bidang bukan STEM.
Sehubungan dengan ini katanya, pihak KSTI mencari kaedah bagaimana strategi terbaik untuk menarik minat pelajar mengikuti Pendidikan STEM khususnya di peringkat sekolah.
