Kota Kinabalu: Traders selling seafood at incredibly low prices believed in Semporna have gone viral in a recent TikTok video.
Shared by TikTok user @theriverhunterchannel, the video opens with a trader offering "RM25 for everything” for three basins of clams and a plate of piled-up latok on a roadside.

As the camera moves along the road's guardrail, it shows a group of approximately 15, including women and children, selling basins of mostly clams.
“Four ringgit,” says another trader in a red shirt towards the cameraman, referring to one of the six basins of clams in front of him.
The cameraman then returns near his car and agrees with one of the traders to purchase a batch of clams for RM20, despite other traders insisting that he buys more.
“I will tell my friends about this so that they can come and get some later,” he says.
He captures the entire scene while engaging with the traders, who emphasise the urgency of selling their products before heading back to their distant homes.
“Later would be late; we have to go home, it is far away on the island,” says one trader.
The video, believed to be filmed near Jalan Kampung Selamat, shows the struggle of these traders, likely from nearby islands, to make a living.
The TikTok clip has garnered 54,500 reactions so far with over 4,000 comments.
