SANDAKAN: Tanjong Papat Assemblyman Datuk Frankie Poon Ming Fung was the first non-muslim being presented with special award during the Sandakan District Level Maal Hijrah celebration.
The award was given to Poon who is also Chairman of Sabah Development Berhad, for his efforts and services in helping and contributing to the community here regardless of background.
The award was presented by Nominated Assemblyman Datuk Jaffari Waliam at the Maal Hijrah celebration ceremony at the Sandakan District Mosque Multipurpose Hall on Saturday.
