SIPITANG: Villagers urged concessionaire to repair the road from Kampung Ulu Bole to the former Sabah Forest Industry (FSI) nursery in Kampung Mendulong.
A 61-year-old resident of Kampung Ulu Bole Luis L said some parts of the road become muddy and rutted to the level of car tyres.
He said this scenario frequently occurs, causing delays in reaching town due to severe damage to road during heavy rain.
“Many residents travel to Sipitang every Tuesday to sell agricultural produce and to repay Amanah Iktiar Malaysia (AIM) loans.
“Therefore, we strongly urge concessionaire to repair and maintain the gravel road instead of using yellow soil, which only worsens the situation,” he said.
