TAWAU: A man's attempt to rob a woman failed when the public noticed his actions in an incident on Jalan Pelabuhan around 10 am on Sunday.
The suspect's actions were also recorded in a video, which went viral on social media.

District police chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the victim, a 32-year-old woman, lodged a police report immediately after the event.
According to him, investigations revealed that the victim was about to get into her car when the suspect approached her.
"The suspect reportedly told the victim that her car tyre was flat.
“The suspect then suddenly choked the victim and tried to take her valuables but failed and fled," he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 393 of the Penal Code.
