Filipino charged with raping his daughter

The offence under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code carries a jail term of between 10 and 30 years, and whipping, on conviction.
Kota Kinabalu: A 42-year-old Filipino was charged with raping his daughter.
The man was brought before Court Registrar Pitrus Lee, to face the charge against him on Monday.

However, no plea was taken from the man who was a labourer.
The man is accused of raping the 16-year and two-month-old girl at 6pm on July 6 this year at a rented room in Inanam, here.
The offence under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code carries a jail term of between 10 and 30 years, and whipping, on conviction.
The court set Aug 22 this year for mention to record the man’s plea.

Pending the date, the man was ordered remanded further under Section 259 of the Criminal Procedure of Code.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Batrisyia Mohd Khusri appeared for the prosecution while the Filipino was not represented.
