LABUAN: Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce Chairman Datuk Wong Kii Yii said his call to Datuk Seri Anifah Aman to decide whether he wants to continue as Chairman of Labuan Corporation (LC) was based on facts and in accordance to feedback he received about him being “missing in action” in Labuan when needed.
“The remarks were made in good faith so that he could be aware that he has to perform at the expected level in that post and engage more often with the community as was the case with former chairmen of LC.

“Even me as a leader of the business community encountered problems to have a meeting to discuss important local non-political issues,” said Wong.
Wong was referring to a response by LC Deputy Chairman Simsudin Sidek defending Anifah over his performance as LC Chairman.
